Antonio Conte 'relaxed and focused' despite possibility of getting sacked
The Blues boss thinks his work speaks or itself despite seeing the club dropping out of the Carabao Cup in mid-week. Antonio Conte isn't scared of getting sacked as Chelsea play for their most realistic chance of silverware when they face Newcastle United in the FA Cup on Sunday.
Chelsea were recently knocked out of the Carabao Cup semi-final following a 2-1 defeat to Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium, after the first leg at Stamford Bridge ended 0-0.
Chelsea have a reputation for quickly sacking managers when they fail to bring success, having 14 managers in 13 years since Roman Abramovich's 2004 takeover. Chelsea have struggled for form in January with the team looking tired due to the nine games in 28 days that the club faces in all competitions.
Conte's side registered four draws, a defeat and two wins, with one coming against Championship side Norwich at Stamford Bridge on penalties.
